Spond partners with CDOS 13 in France
Spond has just signed its first major institutional partnership in France, with CDOS 13, the regional Olympic and sports committee of the Bouches-du-Rhône.
CDOS 13 is no small player. It brings together 64 affiliated committees, more than 4,400 clubs, and over 510,000 members across the region, making it one of the most influential sports networks in the south of France.
Making grassroots sports easier, safer and more accessible
The ambition behind the partnership is clear: to make grassroots sport easier, safer and more accessible for everyone. Together, Spond and CDOS 13 want to help build a future where coaches and club officials save thousands of hours on administration, where communication involving children is safe and well-structured, where clubs and sports organisations can make better decisions based on data, and where finding, joining and organising activities is simple for everyone.
By combining CDOS 13’s deep understanding of the local sports ecosystem with Spond’s app, the partnership aims to give clubs, volunteers and practitioners better tools to spend less time on administration, and more time on sport.

Sharing important insights about sporting activity
Through this partnership, Spond will support CDOS 13 with insights into grassroots sporting activity across the Bouches-du-Rhône region, helping identify local trends, participation patterns and the evolving needs of clubs and practitioners. Spond will also help CDOS 13 strengthen its ability to communicate with the local sports community, giving clubs, volunteers and practitioners easier access to relevant information, initiatives and opportunities.
Already the most widely used app for organising sport in Norway and the UK, and expanding fast across Europe, Spond has been growing steadily in France since its Marseille launch earlier this year. This partnership is a strong step in that direction, and more committees and federations are already in discussion.
One thing is certain: in the PACA region, there will soon be a lot fewer excuses for being late for training!
