An Availability Request is a feature within the Spond App that enables group administrators, such as coaches or team managers, to check player availability before scheduling an event. This tool is invaluable for managing multiple teams or organizing events on days with multiple matches. It streamlines the process of determining player availability, eliminating the need for extensive communication through emails, phone calls, and messages.

After receiving responses to your Availability Request and determining who is available, you can create an event by opening the Availability Request and scrolling down to the blue callout to press ‘Select people and create event’. The members will be categorized based on their response (Available, Unanswered, Declined, Other). After selecting your recipients based on their availability, you proceed to set up the event as usual. Additionally, you have the option to message non-selected members by navigating to “Created events” within the request and pressing “message non-selected recipients”.

Yes, the Spond App allows you to track all responses to the Availability Request. It provides visibility into who is available, who has declined, and who has not yet responded. The app also offers the functionality to set up automatic reminders for those who haven’t responded, ensuring timely collection of necessary information.

The Availability Request is made visible only to the recipients that you have selected to share it with. This feature ensures privacy and enables focused communication with only those involved or necessary for the specific event or match.

To create an Availability Request, you start by clicking the “+” icon to initiate a new event creation process. Select the group you wish to share the request with and choose ‘Availability Request’ as the event type. You will then set the date and time for which you’re checking availability. Optionally, you can also specify a meeting time and place, as well as a response deadline. For creating multiple requests simultaneously, use the Season Planner and select ‘Availability Request’.
