In a remarkable fundraising feat, Crawcrook United FC sold entries worth more than £2,000 for their first-ever Spot the Ball fundraiser in the Spond app. The club, with over 100 members and 10 teams ranging from U7’s to U14’s, successfully harnessed the power of the Spond app to meet their target for crucial pitch drainage works.
Coach Jamie Stidwell was pleasantly surprised at how easy the Spot the Ball fundraiser was to set up. He said: “I came across Spond’s Spot the Ball feature while using the app and decided to give it a shot. The fundraiser is very easy to get started and and quite fun for the members to sell.”
A clear purpose for Spot the Ball Fundraiser
The purpose of this fundraiser was clear – to secure additional funds for vital pitch drainage works. With their eyes set on the prize, Crawcrook United FC made the winner’s reward substantial, encouraging enthusiastic participation. Additionally, they provided an extra incentive by offering a pair of new boots to the member who raised the most entries.
